The short answer
Yes, True Wallpaper Installation works in Sunny Isles Beach condos and homes, about 15 miles south of Fort Lauderdale. We coordinate with building management, choose fade- and moisture-resistant materials, and handle removal, prep and installation.
Sunny Isles Beach is just over the county line in northern Miami-Dade, about 15 miles south of our Fort Lauderdale base. It is a city of towers, and most of our work here happens many floors above the sand, inside condominium units with floor-to-ceiling glass and long views over the Atlantic. That setting brings its own requirements. Deliveries go through loading docks and service elevators, associations set the rules for contractor hours, and interiors face strong sunlight, salt air and the constant pull of air conditioning against humid outdoor air. We plan around all of it so your new walls go up cleanly and stay that way.
Getting into the building
Before our first visit, we ask you for the association's contractor requirements. Typical items include a certificate or form on file with management, a reserved service elevator, and a window of permitted working hours on weekdays. Once we have those, we book the date, register the crew with the front desk, and bring floor runners and corner guards for the hallway outside your door.
Wallpaper rolls and paste are compact, so material deliveries are simple. Scaffolding for ceiling work is broken down into pieces that fit a standard service elevator.
- Contractor paperwork handled with management in advance
- Service elevator reservations and loading dock timing
- Protection for shared corridors and your unit's floors
- Cleanup that leaves common areas as we found them
Sunlight, glass and fading
Units with walls of glass let in a remarkable amount of light, and that light fades some inks and natural fibers over time. If the wall you want to cover faces the windows directly, we will point you toward papers with light-fast inks, vinyl surfaces, or patterns where gradual softening will not look patchy. Window film and sheer shades help, but material choice is the first line of defense.
Glare is also a planning point for seams. Strong side light rakes across a wall and reveals any overlap or gap, so we butt seams tightly and position the first strip to keep joins away from the brightest angles.
Concrete walls and condo prep
Tower interiors are often concrete or block finished with a smooth coat, plus drywall partitions between rooms. Concrete holds onto moisture longer than you might expect, especially after renovation work or a leak from a unit above. We test before hanging and prime with a sealer that blocks alkalinity, so the paste bonds without discoloring.
If a prior owner left wallpaper behind, we remove it, wash off residue and patch the surface. Small cracks along slab edges and window returns are common in tall buildings, and we fill and sand those as part of preparation.
Popular choices in oceanfront units
Our Sunny Isles Beach clients tend to pick finishes that complement a bright, open space rather than compete with the view. Textured vinyls with a linen or stone look are common in living areas. Powder rooms are a favorite place for a bolder metallic or a dramatic mural, since they have no windows and limited sun. Peel and stick is popular with seasonal residents and owners who rent their units part of the year, because it updates a space quickly and comes down without damaging walls. Ceiling paper over a dining table or in an entry can add definition without touching the glass.
We also hang commercial-grade vinyl in lobbies, management offices and amenity rooms when buildings refresh common spaces.
Weather windows and travel
Hurricane season runs from June 1 through November 30, and tall coastal buildings may restrict elevator use or close balconies during storm preparations. We move appointments when a storm is approaching. The cooler, drier stretch from November into April is ideal for installs, and also when many seasonal owners return. On the way down, we work in Hollywood and Dania Beach, and we also serve Wilton Manors, Plantation and Lauderdale Lakes.
