Wallpaper Installation Across Broward County, FL

The short answer

Yes, we install wallpaper throughout Broward County, from Hillsboro Beach and Deerfield Beach in the north to Hallandale Beach and Miramar in the south. Every job starts with a wall check, because coastal condos, older block homes and newer western builds each need different preparation.

Broward County stretches from the beach towns on the Atlantic to the newer neighborhoods along the edge of the Everglades, and its homes vary just as widely. True Wallpaper Installation works throughout the county from our base in Fort Lauderdale, hanging, removing and repairing wallcoverings in condos, townhouses and single-family houses. The housing stock changes as you drive west, and so does the prep work a wall needs before paper goes up.

Coastal towns: condos and salt air

Along the shoreline in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, Hillsboro Beach, Pompano Beach, Dania Beach and Hallandale Beach, many projects are inside condo units. These jobs come with building rules about work hours, elevator use and debris, so we coordinate with management before arriving. Salt air and constant AC cycling also stress seams near sliding doors and balcony walls, so we favor washable, moisture-tolerant papers in those spots and give edges extra attention.

Central neighborhoods: older ranch homes

In Wilton Manors, Oakland Park, Lauderdale Lakes, Lauderhill, Broadview Park, North Lauderdale, Plantation and Sunrise, we often see concrete-block ranch homes with plaster walls, textured finishes or a previous owner's wallpaper still in place. Those surfaces usually need stripping, skim coating or a sealing primer before a new covering will lie flat.

  • Removal of old paper and leftover adhesive
  • Smoothing knockdown or orange-peel texture
  • Priming porous plaster so paste does not soak in unevenly

Western and northern suburbs: newer builds

Coral Springs, Parkland, Coconut Creek, Margate, Tamarac, Weston, Davie, Cooper City, Southwest Ranches, Pembroke Pines and Miramar include many larger, newer homes with tall great rooms, two-story foyers and long hallways. Here the challenge is less about damaged walls and more about scale: planning pattern repeats across big surfaces, working safely on high walls and ceilings, and keeping seams invisible over long runs of drywall.

Lighthouse Point, Hollywood, West Park and Pembroke Park mix older and newer housing, so we judge each wall on its own.

Weather and scheduling in Broward

The wet season runs roughly May through October, and the Atlantic hurricane season covers June 1 to November 30. Humidity slows adhesive curing, so we ask that the air conditioning run steadily before and after installation. If a storm threatens, we reschedule rather than leave a room half-papered without power or cooling. The drier stretch from November into April is a comfortable window for larger projects, though we install year-round.

How a Broward project usually unfolds

Since many Broward addresses sit a fair drive from our Fort Lauderdale shop, we try to make each trip count. The first visit covers measuring, a close look at the walls and a talk about the paper you like. From there you get a written plan that lists prep steps, the order of rooms and how many rolls to order with the pattern repeat accounted for. Install days are grouped so prep and hanging happen back to back whenever drying times allow, which keeps furniture out of place for as short a stretch as possible. Before we leave, we walk the finished space with you and explain how to clean the specific material you chose.

What to expect

How a visit goes

  1. Honest wall assessment

If a surface needs stripping, skim coating or time to dry, we tell you before work begins, not halfway through.

  2. Careful layout

We measure, plan the repeat and decide where the pattern starts so motifs line up across corners, doors and windows.

  3. A clean finish

Seams are tight, edges are trimmed cleanly at trim and ceilings, and the room is left tidy with care tips for your new walls.

FAQ

Common questions

Do you travel to the far western parts of Broward County?

Yes. Weston, Southwest Ranches, Parkland and the western edges of Pembroke Pines and Miramar are all within our service area.

Can you work inside a condo with strict building rules?

We regularly plan around association requirements such as quiet hours, freight elevator reservations and floor protection. Share your building's rules when you contact us and we will build the schedule around them.

My older home has textured walls. Can wallpaper go over them?

Usually not directly. Texture shows through most papers, so we smooth the surface with a skim coat and prime it first. We will tell you during the visit how much prep the wall needs.

Which wallpapers hold up best near the beach?

Vinyl and other washable, moisture-tolerant coverings tend to handle salt air and humidity better than delicate natural fibers. We can help you compare options for each room.

Will humidity affect how long the job takes?

It can. Damp air slows drying, and some walls need primer to cure before paper goes up. Keeping the AC on helps the project move on schedule.

Ready to plan your wallpaper project?

Tell us about the room, the paper you have in mind and the condition of the walls. We will follow up to look at the space and map out the work.
